Game Scope is a tool that allows you to critically evaluate an existing game or game concept. Targeted at commissioning parties that want to develop a game or have had a game developed by a third party, a set of 20 questions are used to analyse and evaluate the game or game concept. Game Scope was inspired by the Applied Design Game Canvas ©HKU2013. Users can immediately start playing Game Scope without (much) pre-existing knowledge about games and games design. It is therefore also suitable for use by students and teachers of game design and game development.
The objectives of Game Scope are to learn to analyse and critically evaluate a game from the perspective of the commissioning party and to generate discussion of the elements that make a game concept a good game concept.
